Saveometer celebrates wicked Which? report

Yorkshire firm Eco1 is hoping for an upturn in sales for the Saveometer since winning an endorsement in its category in Which? magazine.

The Pontefract-based company manufactures and sells the product nationwide, promising a money-back guarantee if the customer doesn’t save the equivalent of the retail price on their energy bills.
The Saveometer was named “Best Buy” in the electricity monitor category, although it can be adapted to measure gas consumption as well.

The unit uses wireless technology to record data and then transmits the information to a discreet but stylish display unit which sits in its own rechargeable holster.
As well as providing the user with a minute-by-minute reading of the cost of their energy consumption, the Saveometer also incorporates a digital clock and barometer and can show readings for energy consumption by the day, the month, the quarter and year as well as the user’s carbon footprint in terms of CO2 emissions.

CORGI launches New “Gas Safety In Facilities Management” Qualification

Following on from the highly successful Gas Safety Management in Social Housing course, which was aimed at professional managers within the sector, CORGI Technical Services have developed a new course that deals with the safe management of gas within the Facilities and Estate management arena.
